Creative Director Self Employed – August 2003 to present
I have spent many years working as a freelance designer, both in-house and from my own premises. My experience spans print and digital, with particular expertise in magazine and publishing design, branding, corporate communications and art direction. I also have experience in digital design projects ranging from website design to eNewsletters, social media and marketing campaigns. I’m used to taking projects from initial brief all the way though conceptualisation, client liasion, design, artwork and print, and am particularly skilled in project management.
Creative Director FCR (freelance) – January 2017 to present
I am currently working with Financial & Corporate Relations (FCR) as their Creative Director. FCR is a leader in corporate, financial and investor communication and provide media and public relations, issues and crisis management, marketing, research, writing, graphic design, and online and print production to a wide variety of Australian and international companies.
Senior Designer Redflame Design – April 2009 to January 2017
Redflame are a small design consultancy which specialise in corporate clients in the superannuation and finance industries. In my time at Redflame I worked on everything from corporate brochures and financial documents to websites, forms, advertising, newsletters promotional products, logo design, branding and more. Tasks included taking projects from initial creative brief all the way though conceptualisation, client liasion, design, artwork and print.
Senior Designer Hoy Design Consultants – June 2002 to August 2003
Hoy is a small design consultancy which works with a wide variety of clients on mainly print based projects for clients such as Baulderstone Hornibrook, Johnson & Johnson and Solae. Being a small company I was responsible for taking projects from start to finish, with a high degree of client liaison.
Senior Designer Designate – March 2001 to May 2002
Designate is a medium sized corporate design consultancy where I was the senior designer with key responsibilities including creative design concepts, project management of large and complex clients and leading and inspiring our team of junior designers and interns. Projects ranged from annual reports, financial documents, corporate branding, advertising and newsletters.
Senior Designer Design Resource – November 1999 to January 2001
Design Resource is a multi-disciplinary design consultancy encompassing both graphic and industrial design. As senior graphic designer I was involved in a wide variety of projects including everything from packaging to brochures, advertising and marketing materials, and was involved at all stages of the project including client liaison, project management, concept development, design and artwork.
Senior Designer McBrides + Grandfield (London UK) – September 1996 to April 1999
McBrides + Grandfield is a medium sized design consultancy specialising in corporate literature such as annual reports, corporate ID and financial documents for clients including large financial institutions, both in the UK and the Middle East.
Mid-weight Designer C&FD (London UK) – February 1995 to March 1996
C&FD specialises in corporate literature including annual reports, brochures and corporate identity. As a mid-weight designer I was working with senior members of staff on a wide range of projects.
