Art Gallery of NSW – I am art digital campaign
Digital design
How do we convince people who rarely or never visit the gallery to come? Then how do we encourage them to return? Many people feel that the gallery is stuffy, boring and has nothing to interest them, but are unaware of the wide variety of art, music and other events that are on offer – there’s something for everyone.
My concept was to create a digital campaign and microsite including a fun quiz which would be promoted through social media, offering visitors the opportunity to have a customised portrait created for them which would be exhibited in the Art Gallery of NSW. They’d be able to visit their portrait in a section of the gallery which best matches their tastes, and would be encouraged to take selfies with their portrait and share it on social media. Their quiz answers would then be used to send them carefully tailored eDMs about events, art, movies or music which match their interests, encouraging return visits.
